Built for the Land They Roam

The Ridge Runs Deep

Carefully raised. Deeply respected.

Carefully raised. Deeply respected.

At the heart of Rattlesnake Ridge Bison is a thriving herd of North American Plains bison, raised on the rolling hills near Kellogg, Minnesota. These animals are well suited to the land they roam—strong, resilient, and deeply connected to their environment. Under the care of the Kreofsky family, the herd lives on open pasture, moving naturally with the seasons and grazing the land as bison have for generations. The size of the herd is carefully managed to maintain balance between animal health and the land that supports them.

Care for the herd is rooted in respect and consistency. Regular herd checks, thoughtful pasture management, and careful winter feeding help ensure the animals remain healthy and calm year-round. Bison are naturally hardy, and the ranch’s approach allows them to express natural behaviors while minimizing stress. Every decision is made with long-term stewardship in mind—honoring the animal, the land, and the responsibility that comes with raising bison the right way.
